Recovery from any major medical event such as a hip fracture, stroke or medical problem can be challenging for both patient and family.\u00a0Medical problems can derail your lives and leave so many unknowns.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

At Flatirons we believe that our caring and expertise can minimize these challenges and maximize successful recovery. We individualize our care delivery around your unique needs and schedules. Nothing is more important to us than exceeding the expectations of those we have the privilege to serve.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Flatirons Health and Rehab is proud to offer therapy services for orthopedic and musculo-skeletal disorders of all kinds, neurological challenges, surgeries,\u00a0as well as general rehabilitation. We want to help you return to the highest level of function possible. It is important for you to get back to focusing on what matters to you.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Flatirons Health & Rehab is a vetted facility<\/a> working closely with Therapy Dogs Boulder County to bring some wonderful dog therapy to residents who greatly appreciate the interaction on a daily basis.\u00a0 The Flatirons Health & Rehab Therapy Dog program is a totally volunteer<\/strong> program with team visits choices of 7 days per week.<\/span><\/p>\n

Teams (a team is a handler and dog) are signed up on a regular visiting schedule.\u00a0 The team choices for visit scheduling are:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2013 Once each week, same day\/time<\/span>
\n\u2013 2nd & 4th weeks of the month, same day\/time<\/span>
\n\u2013 1st, 3rd & 5th weeks of the month, same day\/time<\/span><\/p>\n

All teams are required to take a schedule available to them using the above choices.\u00a0 There are no floating schedules or visitations.\u00a0 All teams are part of a group email list so they can communicate absences and emergency coverage.\u00a0 A monthly schedule is created and sent to all teams and administration\u00a0just before the beginning of each new month.<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. \u00a0Therapy Dog Registration:\u00a0 All teams must be registered with a therapy dog association.\u00a0 The accepted registration memberships are:<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    \u2013 Alliance of Therapy Dogs (www.therapydogs.com<\/u><\/a>)<\/span>
    \n\u2013 PetPartners(    www.petpartners.org
    \n<\/u><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

    If you are not presently registered with any association, we can help you to get started on that process.\u00a0 Simply indicate your status on the application form below.<\/span><\/p>\n

    2.\u00a0 A copy of proof regarding\u00a0your dog is current on the Rabies Vaccination.\u00a0 A vet record is\u00a0acceptable.<\/span><\/p>\n

    3.\u00a0\u00a0A copy of proof\u00a0showing your dog was\u00a0fecal tested and the test was negative within the last 12 months.<\/span><\/p>\n
