Indiana Street, Jenn Bedford, Principal<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n http:\/\/sue.bvsd.org<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Interested in visiting Superior Elementary with your therapy dog?<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n All teams (a team is a handler and dog) are signed up on a regular visiting schedule.<\/span><\/p>\n The monthly frequency of visits are:<\/span><\/p>\n <\/span>All teams are required to take a schedule available to them using the above choices.\u00a0 There are no floating schedules or visitations.\u00a0 All teams are part of a group email list so they can communicate absences and emergency coverage.\u00a0 A monthly schedule is created and sent to all teams and administration\u00a0just before the beginning of each new month.<\/span><\/p>\n Requirements for therapy dog teams:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n <\/span>\u2013 Alliance of Therapy Dogs (www.therapydogs.com<\/u><\/a>)<\/span> If you are not presently registered with any association, there are several tester\/observers for Alliance of Therapy Dogs inside of our Therapy Dogs Boulder County group who can help get you started on that process.\u00a0 Use the \u201ccontact us<\/a>\u201d selection from the\u00a0main menu and let us know you would like to be tested with your dog.<\/span><\/p>\n 2.\u00a0 A copy of proof regarding\u00a0your dog is current on the Rabies Vaccination.\u00a0 A vet record is\u00a0acceptable.<\/span><\/p>\n 3.\u00a0\u00a0A copy of proof\u00a0showing your dog was\u00a0fecal tested and the test was negative within the last 12 months.<\/span><\/p>\n If you would like to make application to be a therapy dog team at Superior Elementary School in Superior, please click on the following Facility Application Form<\/a> link which will take you to the Facility application page.\u00a0 If you would like to make application to more than one Facility, please read about their requirements first before selecting them on the application:<\/span><\/p>\n DOGS ONLY, please<\/span><\/p>\n 1800 S. Our goal is to set high academic standards for learning and create dynamic learning environments where students explore and investigate using critical thinking skills. Highlights of this curriculum include a spiraling social studies curriculum with engaging topics through which children learn American and world history, geography, and the study of many cultures. Science topics are reinforced through hands-on activities, experiments and observations. A comprehensive language arts curriculum enhances and extends across all subject areas. We have exceptional programs in physical education, music and art. Choirs, clubs, intramural sports and enrichment classes extend the school day. Our Positive Behavior Intervention Support program unites the school around the words of respect, acceptance and responsibility.
