style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"> Phone: 1-888-561-7323<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The \u201cPaws To Read\u201d\u00a0Therapy Dog reading program\u00a0at Erie Community Library is a <a href=\"https:\/\/theholles.com\/therapydogsbouldercounty\/vetted-facility\/\">vetted facility<\/a> working closely with Therapy Dogs Boulder County to bring some wonderful dog therapy reading skills\u00a0to children who greatly appreciate the interaction.\u00a0 The Paws To Read Therapy Dog program is a totally <strong>volunteer<\/strong> program and operates with team visits\u00a0on the 4th Wednesday of each month from 4:30pm to 5:45pm (by sign-up appointments only).\u00a0 Each of the children read to a dog in 15 minute intervals.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Presently, this program has a unique rotating schedule with three active teams doing one regular scheduled visit for a given month and then the next month the schedule rotates with three alternate teams and so on.\u00a0 Alternate teams are are on standby in a pool of teams waiting to fill a vacant position or to be rotated through a regular months visit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">All teams are part of a group email list so they can communicate absences and emergency coverage.\u00a0 A monthly schedule is created and sent to all teams and administration\u00a0just before the beginning of each new month.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">\u00a0Therapy Dog Registration:\u00a0 All teams must be registered with a therapy dog association.\u00a0 The accepted registration memberships are:<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">\u2013 Alliance of Therapy Dogs (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.therapydogs.com\/\"><u>www.therapydogs.com<\/u><\/a>)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">If you are not presently registered with any association, there are several tester\/observers for Alliance of Therapy Dogs inside of our Therapy Dogs Boulder County group who can help get you started on that process.\u00a0 Use the \u201ccontact us\u201d selection from the\u00a0main menu and let us know you would like to be tested with your dog.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">2.\u00a0 A copy of proof regarding\u00a0your dog is current on the Rabies Vaccination.\u00a0 A vet record is\u00a0acceptable.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">3.\u00a0\u00a0A copy of proof\u00a0showing your dog was\u00a0fecal tested and the test was negative within the last 12 months.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">4.\u00a0 There may be some paperwork to be completed with the facility and there will be a background check.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><span
